responsibilities:
  • Travel to various client sites across Southeastern Wisconsin to deliver elite network and server support services.
  • Engage directly with clients daily to assess their infrastructure needs and engineer customized, high-performance IT solutions.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain advanced network architectures, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Administer and troubleshoot diverse server environments, virtual machines, cloud services, and storage systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Create and maintain thorough project documentation and network diagrams for future reference and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal leadership and engineering teams to guarantee successful project deliveries and exceptional client satisfaction.

qualifications:

Minimum of seven years of comprehensive professional experience in high-level networking and server administration.


Demonstrated background working within the IT Consulting or Managed Service Provider industry.


Proven history of reliable work tenure and career stability.


Ability and willingness to travel frequently to client locations throughout the Greater Southeastern Wisconsin region (this is a flexible/hybrid role with heavy local on-site requirements).


Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a highly engaging personality for extensive customer-facing interactions.


Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities to solve complex technical challenges independently.


Nice-to-Haves


Comprehensive Local and Wide Area Network routing experience including Access Control Lists and VLANs.


Advanced networking expertise spanning SD-WAN, OSPF, and BGP.


Experience managing enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam or Datto.


Familiarity with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure solutions from Microsoft, Citrix, or VMWare.


Up-to-date knowledge of modern cybersecurity frameworks, content filtering, and anti-spam protocols.
