Description of Role
SRI is hiring skilled Integration Technicians experienced in ISP / Central Office / Headend / Data Center network facilities to support the deployment and maintenance of high-performance network environments across the nation. This role goes beyond standard rack-and-stack work - we're looking for techs with deep knowledge in structured cabling, RF systems, and fiber integration who can work confidently in headend, central office, and enterprise data center settings. With a clear growth path from Level 1 to Level 4, this position is ideal for professionals who take pride in precise, standards-based installs and thrive in critical network facility environments.
Core Responsibilities (All Levels):
  • Deliver high-quality infrastructure installations and on-site support that exceed customer expectations
  • Adhere to safety standards and best practices for data center and network facility deployments
  • Work independently or with senior technicians depending on experience level
  • Demonstrate growing expertise in mechanical/electrical assembly and cabling
  • Participate in network integrations, migrations, and cutovers - including off-hours shifts when needed
Skill Progression Levels:
Skill Level 1 - Technician - Entry
  • New to digital infrastructure / network facility support or returning after 2+ years away from the industry.
  • Works under direct supervision of Level 3 or 4 Technicians.
  • Identifies and properly uses hand tools and PPE.
  • Performs mechanical and electrical assembly of non-powered/passive equipment and / or hardware.
  • Assists with basic network cabling tasks under guidance.
  • Not authorized to work on live data circuits or powered equipment without supervision.
  • Must complete a minimum of 1.5 years or show equivalent proficiency for advancement.
Skill Level 2 - Technician
  • 1.5+ years of digital infrastructure / network facility support experience or equivalent proven proficiency.
  • Proficient in all Level 1 tasks and begins independent work on passive systems.
  • Completes cabinet/rack installation, cable management (ironwork, ladder rack, fiber duct), and grounding.
  • Installs and dresses CAT5/6 and fiber network cabling.
  • Performs basic network cable testing and basic DC power installation.
  • Adds/removes cabling on non-working equipment only.
  • Supports network testing and fiber prep work in network facilities.
  • Advancement requires 2 years experience or proficiency assessment.
Skill Level 3 - Lead Technician
  • 2+ years of digital infrastructure experience and proficient in Level 1 & 2 responsibilities.
  • Capable of leading installation / integration team members and assigning tasks to junior techs.
  • Performs secondary DC power installations and prepares MOPs.
  • Resolves documentation discrepancies and ensures quality inspections.
  • Troubleshoots network issues with test equipment.
  • Supports migrations and software upgrades in network facilities.
  • Analyzes project documentation to plan installation approach and materials.
  • Interfaces with internal and external teams to support project execution.
  • Must be approved for advancement by Operations Management based on documented performance.
Skill Level 4 - Senior Technician / Field Manager
  • 3+ years of digital infrastructure experience and expert-level proficiency.
  • Leads complex installations and migrations in network facilities.
  • Installs and verifies both secondary and (with supervision) primary DC power systems.
  • Adds/removes power circuits on working power distribution systems and performs power transitions.
  • Configures and turns up network facility equipment including advanced OEM platforms.
  • Performs software upgrades, signal modifications, and system-level testing.
  • Contributes to engineering and design discussions, including EF&I standards.
  • Mentors junior staff and evaluates skill progression using GR-1275-CORE.
  • Ensures all documentation, labeling, and testing meets company and industry standards.
Required Skills:
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and safely working on ladders or in confined spaces
  • Strong situational awareness and attention to detail in high-stakes environments
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis/reporting tools
  • Self-driven and dependable, with the ability to work independently, including night shifts as needed

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday with some overnight work performing equipment migrations
