Position Overview

The Network and Systems Engineer will play a vital role in overseeing and maintaining our network infrastructure and security across corporate and remote field locations. This position operates under the guidance of the Chief People Officer and will supervise IT Support Technician I and junior network engineers.

What You’ll Do

  • Configure, implement, and maintain network, telecommunications, and server technologies
  • Administer and maintain network infrastructure across multiple locations
  • Assess system needs and recommend and implement appropriate solutions
  • Install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Plan and implement system automation to improve efficiency
  • Oversee daily network operations, including hardware/software support and special projects
  • Provide support for network and remote connectivity hardware/software
  • Maintain documentation, support logs, and system records
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software
  • Monitor network performance, security, and access privileges
  • Establish and manage user accounts, file sharing, and security protocols
  • Perform weekly configuration backups
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues
  • Communicate with leadership and stakeholders on projects and incidents
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency support

Minimum Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of communication and routing protocols
  • Strong expertise in network operating systems and Windows servers
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with routing protocols and cellular technologies
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Strong alignment with organizational goals and values
  • Professional, positive ambassador for the company

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting firewalls and Layer 3 switches
  • Background in network administration and system management
  • Experience with diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
  • Proven success working in collaborative, team-based environments

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems
