Laredo Animal Clinic Offers Up to a $2,500 Stipend for 2027 Clinical Year Externships

Laredo Animal Clinic, proudly part of National Veterinary Associates (NVA), is excited to offer clinical year veterinary students the opportunity to join our team. As part of the NVA family, a network of over 1,000 veterinary hospitals, we are committed to providing exceptional care for pets and animals. Our supportive and dynamic environment allows clinical year students to gain invaluable hands-on experience while working alongside a dedicated team of veterinarians.

About Our Hospital:

Laredo Animal Clinic has proudly served the community for over 35 years as a full-service small animal practice. Our well-equipped facility offers a wide range of services, including surgeries, diagnostics, and in-house testing. With a team of 3 experienced doctors, we maintain consistent patient flow and hours, providing a great opportunity for clinical year students to gain hands-on experience. We offer mentorship for students looking to enhance their skills and gain valuable knowledge in small animal medicine, all within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Externship Details:

Externs will work closely with our veterinarians and gain hands-on experience in:

  • Physical exams and diagnostics

  • Surgical procedures and dentistry services

  • Treatment plans and medical management

  • Client communication and teamwork

Externships typically range from 2 to 8 weeks, offering exposure to small animal medicine, allowing externs to develop essential skills in a variety of areas.

Stipend:
