Job description

Position Summary

This role is responsible for preparing accurate estimates for reconstruction projects while supporting business development efforts. The Estimator partners with adjusters, clients, and internal teams to ensure projects are properly scoped, priced, and executed successfully.


Please note: Previous restoration experience and proficiency in Xactimate are required.



Essential Functions


  • Market to potential customers, including national accounts, adjusters, and end users
  • Build and maintain a network of qualified subcontractors across multiple trades
  • Meet with prospects and provide estimates for rebuilding structures following a loss
  • Assess project scope and prepare detailed, accurate estimates
  • Review estimates and scope with insurance representatives and customers, obtain approvals, and initiate project documentation
  • Maintain clear communication and coordinate schedules with operations through project completion
  • Communicate with local management regarding project updates and any issues that arise
  • Ensure quality standards are met and resolve any issues promptly
  • Follow proper protocols related to payment arrangements
  • Follow up with insurance companies and customers to ensure timely collections
  • Prepare reports on activity, progress, follow-up, and performance metrics


Job Requirements


  • Proficiency with Xactimate estimating software
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and best practices
  • Understanding of production processes, quality control, costs, and project efficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints
  • Knowledge of design principles and reconstruction techniques
  • Understanding of sales and relationship-building principles
  • Ability to monitor project processes, materials, and performance
