Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a NetSuite Engineer.
Duties:
* Design, develop, test, and maintain customizations within NetSuite using SuiteScript (1.0 and 2.x), including client scripts, user event scripts, scheduled scripts, Map/Reduce scripts, RESTlets, and Suitelets
* Build and maintain custom workflows using SuiteFlow to automate business processes
* Create and customize forms, fields, records, roles, permissions, saved searches, and reports to meet evolving business requirements
* Develop and deploy SuiteBundles and manage code promotion across sandbox, development, and production environments
* Build and maintain integrations between NetSuite and third-party systems using RESTlets, SuiteTalk (SOAP/REST web services), and middleware platforms such as Boomi, Celigo, or MuleSoft
* Work with relational data models and SuiteQL to extract, transform, and report on financial and operational data
* Ensure data integrity through validation logic, error handling, and reconciliation processes between NetSuite and connected systems
* Work closely with senior developers, business analysts, finance, accounting, and operations stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
* Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog refinement
* Engage in code reviews to receive and provide constructive feedback on SuiteScript and configuration changes
* Follow NetSuite development standards, SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) practices, and security guidelines for role-based access and data protection
* Document customizations, integrations, and process flows, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
* Monitor system performance, governance limits, and script execution logs to proactively identify and resolve issues
* Stay current on NetSuite release updates, new SuiteCloud features, and emerging ERP best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
* End-to-end NetSuite implementation experience and data migration from legacy systems
* Proficiency with SuiteScript 2.x (and familiarity with 1.0 legacy code) including client scripts, user event scripts, scheduled scripts, Map/Reduce scripts, RESTlets, and Suitelets
* Experience with SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, saved searches, custom records, and the NetSuite role and permission model
* Working knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS for client-side customizations and Suitelet UIs
* Familiarity with NetSuite integration patterns using SuiteTalk REST and SOAP web services, RESTlets, and token-based authentication (TBA) or OAuth 2.0
* Understanding of relational data concepts and experience with SuiteQL or SQL for querying and reporting
* Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum)
* AI/LLM experience - building AI-augmented workflows, integrating LLM APIs into ERP processes, comfort with agentic tooling
* Process automation - iPaaS/Workato fluency, event-driven workflow design beyond just SuiteFlow
* Process improvement mindset - process mining, measuring automation impact, partnering with business to find automation candidates
* Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, especially when translating business requirements into technical solutions
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new modules, releases, and integrated systems
* Exposure to the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) and SuiteCloud IDE/VS Code SuiteCloud extension is a plus
* Experience with integration middleware (Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft) or iPaaS platforms is a plus
* NetSuite SuiteFoundation or SuiteCloud Developer I certification is a plus
* Understanding of core ERP concepts such as general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, order to cash, and procure to pay is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
