Job description

Primary Function:

The Enterprise Applications & Integration Lead will be responsible for all operational and revenue generating enterprise applications & middleware integrations. The role will serve as a strategic partner for business leaders and functional leads to review, assess and justify new technologies for adoption. The role will provide hands-on expertise for creating mapping schemas for integrations to and from ERP’s to other business applications (eg. eCommerce platform, Graphics pre-press applications & workflow engines, Store profile, Concur, Docuware, etc.). and will be accountable for proper functioning of the applications, integrations, maintenance and timely upgrades.


Responsibilities and Duties

• Leads project teams (business & IT) to define, design, develop, configure, integrate, and implement applications/solutions and background processes as they relate to Enterprise applications (eCommerce platform, Graphics, Document Management software, Sharepoint Intranet, etc.).

• Engages with application business leads to achieve process improvements, new systems capability, and cost efficiency for existing applications.

• Lead efforts to evaluate, select and implement new technologies to enhance applications, where necessary.

• Review, assess and justify new but fully emerged technologies for adoption.

• Recommends strategic, operational and competitive functionality for the revenue generating applications.

• Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and document all solution architecture design and relevant analysis work with support from ERP leads and Graphics Process & Technology lead.

• Accountable for proper functioning of the applications, integrations, maintenance and timely upgrades.

• Assist Manager with Enterprise Sharepoint intranet design and oversee the development.

• Provide proactive strategic guidance to drive solutions towards broad leveragability across business entities.

• Leads development and maintenance of user documentation, including training when required.

• Monitors and conducts code reviews with third party consultants, ensuring projects meet application architectural objectives.

• Create application programming interface (API) standards and procedures.

• Research and promote best practice methodologies, tools, workflow processes, architecture, and technologies.

• Research and evaluate industry trends, APIs, upgrades, and frameworks to ensure effective and efficient operational capabilities.

• Develop strategic alliances with business counterparts to understand business processes and challenges, listening for opportunities where IT can automate workflow or create competitive advantages.

• Continuously improve the technical depth and domain knowledge.

• Develop, maintain, and adhere to change management process with visibility to IT team and stakeholders / cross-functional leads.

• Develop RCA (Root Cause Analysis) document when the business experiences over 30 minutes of downtime due to mission critical applications.

• Leads Sign-off on SIT, UAT & deployment of applications, workflows and customizations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 support issues as they relate to functionality and interoperability of the above-mentioned applications & integrations.

• Work with end users to provide best practices and tips on application(s) usage including training, when required.


Qualifications and Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

• 5 – 7 years relevant experience as an Application and or integration lead, manufacturing industry experience, a plus.

• 3 - 5 years hands-on experience with the following:

o Integration platform as a service tool (iPaas) – Celigo or Jitterbit or Mulesoft.

o Database query language (eg. MS SQL) and reporting / BI tools (SSRS, Power BI, etc.), a plus.

o O365 Sharepoint Online

o Workflow applications (eg. Docuware, Documentum)

o eCommerce platforms (eg. Magento, or something similar)

o RPA (Robotic Process Automation with uiPath)

• Demonstrated experience with ERP’s (Microsoft Business Central, NetSuite, Acumatica), a plus.

• Experience with Graphics technology solutions (tFLOW, Callas PDF toolbox, Print Factory, Graphics ERP and other workflow software’s), a plus.


Physical Requirements of the Job

• Office environment; must be able to go to the shop floor on a frequent basis, and be able to sit or stand at and operate a computer for up to 80% of the day.

• Cognitive skills such as thinking, reasoning, understanding, learning and remembering are required 100 % of the day.

• Travel to Orbus sites in North America, when required.
