What is a Netsuite account manager?

A NetSuite Account Manager is a professional responsible for managing customer relationships and ensuring clients get the most value from their NetSuite software solutions. They act as a key point of contact between clients and the company, addressing client needs, coordinating with technical teams, and identifying opportunities for additional services or upgrades. Their goal is to help clients optimize their use of NetSuite, resolve issues, and foster long-term partnerships. NetSuite Account Managers typically possess strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills, as well as a deep understanding of the NetSuite platform.

How does a Netsuite account manager collaborate with implementation and support teams to ensure client satisfaction?

A NetSuite Account Manager works closely with both implementation and support teams to provide a seamless client experience. They coordinate project timelines, communicate client requirements, and facilitate regular check-ins to address any concerns or changes. By acting as a bridge between the client and technical teams, they help ensure that solutions are delivered on time and meet client expectations, ultimately driving long-term satisfaction and retention.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Netsuite account manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Netsuite Account Manager, you need a solid understanding of cloud ERP solutions, sales acumen, and account management experience, often supported by a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with Netsuite software, CRM tools, and, ideally, Netsuite certifications are highly valued. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills help you foster client trust and navigate complex business needs. These skills are crucial for ensuring client satisfaction, driving account growth, and delivering tailored solutions in a competitive SaaS environment.

Job description

Today's finance leaders face increasing pressure to modernize operations, improve reporting accuracy, and scale efficiently as their businesses grow. As a NetSuite Consultant at Deloitte, you will support the design and implementation of NetSuite solutions that help clients meet their business goals, working alongside experienced team members to build your consulting and technical skills. This role fits professionals across core financial accounting, procure-to-pay, or order-to-cash implementation backgrounds. Join a team that is transforming how finance and accounting organizations operate by streamlining processes, improving reporting, and building lasting client relationships along the way.

Recruiting for this role ends on 12/31/2026.

Work you'll do

As a Consultant, you will help implement and deploy NetSuite solutions:

  • Work within an engagement team, identifying business requirements, supporting functional design, prototyping, and process design
  • Implement and deploy NetSuite solutions that accommodate unique industry, business, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct business process mapping and requirements-gathering sessions with clients, on-site and remote
  • Prepare Business Requirements and Technical Scoping Documents for client approval
  • Create functional requirements as an input to application design
  • Build, develop, and test functional designs for business components and prototypes
  • Drive test planning, execution, and optimization support
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide ongoing post-implementation support to optimize user adoption

A successful candidate would possess these skills:

  • Ability to build strong client and team relationships
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities in a team-based environment
  • Eagerness to learn new tools, processes, and industries

The team

Our NetSuite practice helps upper mid-market and high-growth organizations modernize their financial and operational systems on a unified cloud platform. We work alongside clients to streamline processes, improve reporting, and support their next stage of growth. We're just as invested in our own team's growth, with hands-on learning and mentorship built into every engagement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Record to Report: General Ledger and Financial Reporting
    • Procure to Pay: Accounts Payable
    • Order to Cash: Accounts Receivable
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or another related field
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • Certified NetSuite Professional (NetSuite Administrator / Suite Foundation / ERP Consultant / SuiteCloud Developer Certification)
  • Experience with NetSuite integrations and customizations
  • Full lifecycle NetSuite implementation experience, including Design, Build, Test, Deploy, and Support phases
  • Previous "Big 4" or large consulting firm experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $82,600 to $162,800.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
