Conformance Technician manipulate and edit audio, video and subtitle files to match client and vendor specifications for streaming platforms. Great opportunity for someone who is a team-oriented, technically skilled, systems-oriented, and has an overall "Roll Up Your Sleeves" approach to troubleshooting. Day and swing shifts are available; please indicate if you have a preference. The ideal Conformance Technician will possess at least 2 years of experience working with various formats of digital video sources and encoding, including expertise in Digital Portal specs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Quickly comprehend technical specifications and apply that understanding.
  • Monitor andprioritizea high volume and time sensitive order queue.
  • Ensure source assets are restored andconformed asrequired.
  • Validate video,audioand timed text media assets against a variety of client and internal specifications.
  • Communicate and document internal rejections to theappropriate teams.
  • Verify integrity of deliverables and delivery package prior to servicing.
  • Maintain servicing action logs as needed
  • Succinctly and efficiently handoff projects with next-up shifts
  • Operate with a high sense of urgency and discretion
  • Other tasks as needed to meet project deadlines


Essential Qualifications / Competencies

  • Conforming audio, video, and subtitle/caption content to platform specifications (iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.).
  • High level understanding of subtitlingspecificationand formats, audio sample rates, video frame rates, SMPTE timecode and traditional multichannel audio configurations (2.0, 5.1, 7.1, ATMOS).
  • Understanding of industry format standards such as PAL, NTSC, timecode, framerate, codec, audio settings/configurations, Frame Rate Conversions, captions, subtitles, forced Narrative, SDH
  • Knowledge of post-production guidelines and workflows using tools such as Adobe Premiere Suite,Clipster,Transkoder, Cortex, Resolve, and various transcoding utilities such as Compressor, AME, EpisodePro.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills andtheability tocommunicate and collaborate withother groups.
  • Strong data entry and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficient with both Mac and PC operating systems.
  • Comfortable with change and able to adapt asneededto meet the needs of our clients.
