Description
Status: This position is currently open, we are accepting applications.
Prevailance is seeking an experienced Training Systems Curriculum Specialist to provide onsite curriculum development, conversion, and authoring-tool support to Learning Standards Offices (LSOs) across the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) domain. This role focuses on modifying existing curriculum, converting courseware between Navy-authoring tools, and providing hands-on training and guidance to government and instructor personnel.
The ideal candidate is a cleared military curriculum development professional (preferably with an Adult Education or Instructional Design degree) who has hands-on experience using at least one Navy or DoD authoring tool (Content Planning Module (CPM), Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM), and Learning Engine Authoring Development (LEAD)), can provide SME-level guidance to LSOs, deliver tool-focused training, and support enterprise-wide curriculum conversion and tracking efforts across SCSTC.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an onsite subject-matter expert supporting LSOs across the SCSTC enterprise
  • Provide hands-on CPM and LEAD support, including troubleshooting, workflow guidance, and tool instruction
  • Modify existing curriculum in collaboration with LSOs, ensuring compliance with Navy standards and data structures
  • Lead or support curriculum conversion efforts from AIM/CPM to LEAD
  • Develop training aids, job aids, and reference materials to support curriculum developers and instructors
  • Deliver virtual and in-person training sessions on curriculum authoring processes and toolsets
  • Coordinate with SCSTC Headquarters to track progress, milestones, and completion of ongoing course conversions

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience developing or modifying military training curriculum ( any branch )
  • Familiarity with government curriculum authoring tools AIM I / II, CPM, LOM, or LEAD
  • Ability to develop training aids, job aids, and user support documentation
  • Experience providing training or instructional sessions to end users
  • Ability to work onsite and collaborate directly with Government representatives and SCSTC LSOs

Desired
  • Hands-on proficiency with all of the following:
    • CPM
    • AIM I / AIM II
    • LOM
    • LEAD
  • Experience converting or restructuring curriculum between authoring tools (e.g., AIM to CPM to LEAD)
  • Prior experience supporting Navy training commands, NETC processes, or SCSTC learning sites

Education
  • Associate's degree or higher in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Education, Training Technology, or a related field
  • Equivalent SME-level experience in military curriculum development may be acceptable

Security Clearance
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
