Job Description

With locations all over the world, we're a fast-paced, growing Services Company with tons of upside. We keep growing... and growing... and growing; hence, the need for someone like you. We're currently looking to hire a Platform Engineer to support our IPcenter toolset! 


In A Typical Day You Will:


Install and configure Linux hosts (generally, but not limited to, Scientific Linux)

Automate common tasks using Perl, Bash, etc

Architects, deploys and manages virtualization solutions through VMware, Xen, Amazon VC2 and other virtualization technologies

Develops capacity/datacenter plans using storage/ backup tools such as NetBackup, NetApp and EMC

Works on Cloud solutions  

Diagnoses and troubleshoot issues in the platform

Troubleshoot performance issues within the application, web and database tiers

Resolve escalations received through ticketing system, emails, and/or phone calls in a timely manner


Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills
3+ years of experience working with a NOC environment. 
Very strong Linux/Unix administration & troubleshooting skills
TCP/IP and basic networking
Configuring Apache and Tomcat servers
Create and debug MySQL queries
Understanding of DNS and how to configure/ troubleshoot it
Good verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
