Linux Systems Administrator (Enterprise Infrastructure)

Location: Boulder, CO (Hybrid/Onsite – details available upon request)

The organization is focused on maintaining highly available infrastructure while investing in modernization, automation, and security initiatives.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to support and evolve critical enterprise infrastructure services. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and modernization of Linux-based infrastructure while supporting core services including DNS, DHCP, authentication systems, virtualization platforms, storage environments, and enterprise server operations.

This position is focused on enterprise-scale administration and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong Linux expertise, infrastructure administration experience, automation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple technology teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Linux environments, including AlmaLinux, RHEL, and related distributions.
  • Manage core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, authentication services, SMTP/mail relays, and related enterprise technologies.
  • Support VMware virtualization environments and enterprise storage platforms.
  • Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, tune, and optimize Linux servers and infrastructure services.
  • Support authentication and identity-related technologies and participate in modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain automation and operational scripts utilizing Python, Bash/Shell Scripting, and Perl.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, server, networking, storage, and authentication issues.
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts related to infrastructure modernization and future-state architecture.
  • Collaborate with Networking, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Identity Management, AI, and Web Operations teams on enterprise projects.
  • Support highly available enterprise systems and ensure service reliability.
  • Manage workflow and support requests through established IT service management practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, system documentation, and operational runbooks.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and documentation deliverables to ensure long-term supportability.
  • Participate in Agile teams and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and security.
  • Support vendor relationships and assist with infrastructure acquisition, implementation, and lifecycle management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
