The Assistant Commissioning Manager will support the planning, coordination, testing, and turnover of electrical and mechanical systems on mission-critical construction projects, including data centers. In this role, you will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, equipment vendors, and third-party commissioning providers to help execute commissioning activities, track project milestones, and ensure systems are operating in accordance with project requirements and owner expectations.
The ideal candidate has experience in commissioning, MEP construction, facility operations, or critical environments, along with a foundational understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, BAS/BMS, and power distribution systems. Responsibilities include supporting functional testing, reviewing commissioning documentation and test reports, tracking deficiencies through resolution, and assisting with startup, energization, and turnover activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging commissioning professional looking to develop technical expertise and grow into a Commissioning Manager role while contributing to some of the industry's most complex and innovative projects
Assistant Commissioning Manager Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience supporting commissioning, startup, testing, MEP construction, controls, facility operations, or mission-critical projects.
  • Basic understanding of commissioning processes across electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, equipment submittals, and sequence of operations.
  • 2+ Years experience with Automated Commissioning Management Software
  • Ability to read, review, and interpret technical details of high value MEP equipment.
  • Bachelor's Degree - Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or 5 years equivalent experience. Experience can be from Military service. Specifically, the Navy Nuke or Electrician/HVAC Program.

Assistant Commissioning Manager Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of commissioning levels (1-5) and integrated systems testing.
  • Experience with commissioning management platforms and issue-tracking software.
  • Familiarity with: HVAC systems, NETA testing standards, Load banking procedures, Test and Balance (TAB), Infrared thermography , EPMS/BMS systems
  • Experience supporting startup and turnover activities for large-scale MEP systems.
  • Military technical experience (Electrical, HVAC, Power Generation, Navy Nuclear Program, or equivalent) is highly desirable
