SUMMARY:

Drives NET vehicle to transport eligible Medicaid members to and from appointment.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform assigned daily transports in safe and timely manner.
  • Complete all paperwork required for transportation services rendered.
  • Complete a daily inspection of assigned vehicle before start of the day.
  • Assist with delivery of public transportation tokens and passes as needed.
  • Driver must be courteous, patient, and professional at all times, as well as neat and clean in appearance per the driver handbook.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • The employees must regularly lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rule, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • All drivers must be at least 25 years of age and have a current valid AR driver license, with no suspension or revocation within the last five years, along with no more than one chargeable accident or moving violation in the last three years.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
