Job description

To design, develop, and test client server and web applications at Partnership. To work with the Director, Web Applications Development in the design, development, testing, and deployment of web and desktop applications. Works closely with IT staff in developing applications in business needs supporting AMISYS Advance and networked systems. Assumes senior role in developing applications and supporting existing applications and other applications, as appropriate.


  • Designs, develops, tests, and supports client server applications using CSharp, VB.NET, ADO.NET.
  • Designs, develops, tests, and supports web applications using ASP, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, JQuery, and AJAX.
  • Designs, develops, and documents database schemas.
  • Develops intelligent applications to automate processes and increase productivity.
  • Programs data tasks and ad-hoc jobs using SQL Server/Oracle PL/SQL and stored procedures.
  • Develops or converts existing DTS packages to SSIS packages.
  • Supports maintenance and resolving issues in internet information server.
  • Develops or customizes applications using SharePoint.
  • Develops test scenarios for the client server and web applications and tests the applications.
  • Server-related issues in test and production environments.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides and carries a cell phone and responds when system needs require it.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and

Experience

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience. Three to five (3-5) years of client server and web development experience. Managed care experience is a plus.

 

Special Skills, Licenses and Certificates

Three to five (3-5) years of programming experience in ASP, ASP.NET, CSharp, VB.NET, JavaScript, SharePoint, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, SSIS, SSRS, Oracle, Stored procedure, IIS, Win 2003 and VB necessary. Knowledge of BusinessObjects would be a plus.

 

Performance Based Competencies

Ability to quickly acquire in-depth knowledge of AMISYS software and managed care issues. Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to interpret and understand technical requirements. Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve systems problems.

 

Work Environment And Physical Demands

More than 50% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor. May be required to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, or work in other non-standing and non-sitting positions to install cabling, systems hardware and other related equipment.
