Are you a client-focused .NET engineer who enjoys solving complex integration challenges? Do you have experience consulting with clients, understanding their business and technical requirements, and designing API-based solutions?

We are looking for an API Integration Consultant with strong .NET development skills and a solid understanding of Enterprise Permitting & Licensing (EPL). This role will work directly with clients and internal teams to design, build, and support reliable integrations between EPL and external systems.

Responsibilities
  • Consult with clients to understand their business processes, technical environments, and integration requirements.
  • Translate client needs into scalable API and system-integration solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and support RESTful APIs and services using .NET and C#.
  • Build integrations between EPL solutions and client or third-party applications.
  • Develop a strong understanding of EPL frameworks, APIs, business models, and workflows.
  • Provide clients with technical recommendations, integration guidance, and implementation support.
  • Lead technical discussions and clearly explain solution designs to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Create API specifications, data mappings, integration diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot complex API, data, authentication, performance, and system-integration issues.
  • Review client integration designs and recommend improvements based on established standards and best practices.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions to validate integration approaches when needed.
  • Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and secure development practices.
  • Build automated unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, implementation, and client teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Work within an Agile development environment and provide technical guidance to less-experienced team members.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong Microsoft .NET and C# development skills
  • ASP.NET Core, Web API, and RESTful services
  • API design, development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting
  • Enterprise application and third-party system integrations
  • JSON, XML, HTTP, and common API authentication methods
  • SQL Server, relational database design, T-SQL, and stored procedures
  • Entity Framework and LINQ
  • Object-oriented programming and design patterns, including Dependency Injection
  • Unit-testing frameworks such as NUnit or Microsoft testing frameworks
  • Visual Studio and source-control tools such as Git or TFS
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, preferably AWS
Supporting Skills
  • Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
  • Elasticsearch
  • MVC, MVVM, and service-oriented architecture
  • Experience with API testing and documentation tools
  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and integration troubleshooting
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Two or more years of software-development, API integration, or technical-consulting experience.
  • Experience gathering client requirements and converting them into technical integration solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Permitting & Licensing solutions, frameworks, APIs, or related business processes.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working directly with clients during solution design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and functional teams.
  • Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other team members is a plus.
