Company Description

At Henry Ford Health, we're committed to advancing health and improving lives for the millions of people we serve across Michigan and around the world. As one of the nation's leading academic health systems, we provide a comprehensive continuum of care that includes primary and preventive services, specialty and complex care, virtual care, pharmacy, home health, eye care, health insurance, and more. With 12 hospitals and hundreds of ambulatory care locations, including former Ascension Southeast Michigan and Flint Region facilities, our growing network expands access to exceptional care in the communities we serve.
Headquartered in Detroit, Henry Ford Health is helping shape the future of healthcare through the transformative Future of Health: Detroit initiative, a $3 billion investment that is redefining our academic healthcare campus and advancing innovation, research, education, and community impact.
Our work is grounded in purpose, collaboration, and belonging. We empower team members to grow their careers, contribute innovative ideas, and make a meaningful difference every day. Whether you're caring for patients, supporting operations, conducting research, or driving new solutions, you'll be part of a team united by a shared mission: delivering exceptional care, advancing health outcomes, and building healthier communities for all.

Job Description

Ready to make a real impact on your organization's bottom line? As a Senior Reimbursement Analyst, you'll be the financial detective who uncovers insights hidden in complex net revenue data. Using Revenue Cycle Analytics (RCA) expertise, you'll transform raw billing data into strategic intelligence that drives both revenue optimization and regulatory compliance. This is a high-visibility role within Finance and Revenue Cycle—the kind of position where your work directly influences leadership decisions and opens doors for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master Net Revenue Analysis: Lead the monthly net revenue close process with investigative rigor, accurately translating gross patient billing into actual cash collections using advanced RCA platforms (Kodiak Solutions RCA, Crowe RCA, or similar tools)
  • Drive Strategic Insights: Leverage pivot tables and data analytics to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities that shape reimbursement strategy and inform leadership decisions
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the cost report team on crossover projects, expanding your expertise beyond net revenue and building valuable relationships across the Revenue Cycle function
  • Manage Multiple Priorities: Juggle competing projects with ease, demonstrating strong prioritization skills and flexibility—especially during the critical first 7 business days of each month
  • Ensure Compliance & Accuracy: Apply analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills to complex reimbursement scenarios, maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy

Why You'll Love This Role: You'll work in a department with high visibility across Finance and Revenue Cycle, giving you the platform to stand out, gain recognition, and accelerate your career growth. Plus, you'll have direct opportunities to expand your skill set beyond net revenue through meaningful collaboration with our cost report team.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Master's Degree, preferred.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of reimbursement experience including preparation, audit or review of hospital cost reports.
  • General knowledge of third party reimbursement mechanisms.
  • Strong Analytical reasoning and problem solving skills are highly preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Access and Excel.
