The Work

The Front-End Developer will build responsive, high‑performance user interfaces usingReact, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS, ensuring seamless integration with.NET backend serviceswithinAWS-hosted environments. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and product teams to implement clean, maintainable components and deliver intuitive, accessible, and secure user experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Design and buildresponsive, high‑performance user interfacesusing Node.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Developmodular, maintainable UI componentsaligned with modern front‑end engineering best practices and design system standards.
  • Integrate front‑end applications with.NET backend servicesusing REST APIs and common data formats such asJSON and XML.
  • Implementclient-side state managementand optimize rendering for scalable, enterprise‑grade applications.
  • Collaborate withUX/UI designersandbackend engineersto ensure seamless end‑to‑end functionality and consistent user experiences.
  • Participate incode reviews, contributing to and enforcing standards for readability, quality, security, and maintainability.
  • UseGit and GitLabfor source control, branching strategies, code review, and merge request workflows.
  • Ensure that front‑end applications meetaccessibility,security, andperformancerequirements in line with federal and organizational standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolveUI issuesacross environments, browsers, and devices, including cross‑browser compatibility and responsive behavior.
  • Work withinAWS cloud-hosted environments, collaborating with DevOps and backend teams to support deployments as part of the overall delivery pipeline.
  • Contribute tocontinuous improvementefforts, recommending enhancements to tooling, development practices, and user experience.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience developing modern frontend applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.
  • Advanced experience building UI components with HTML, CSS, Sass, and responsive design frameworks
  • Strong experience integrating with REST APIs and working with JSON and XML data formats
  • Proficiency with Git and GitLab for source control, collaboration, and code review workflows
  • Ability to design, refactor, and maintain scalable frontend architectures in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
  • Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization, browser behavior, debugging techniques, and application profiling
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and lead best-practice discussions across the engineering team
  • Experience building cloud-native solutions in AWS
  • Experience with YAML and CI/CD pipeline development (GitLab CI preferred)
  • Experience with package scan vulnerability remediation
  • Experience with integration with .NET APIs or full stack environments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Bonus points if you have:
  • Experience with automated UI testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG)
  • Familiarity with JFrog Artifactory
