Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Junior .NET Developer to support our Huntsville, AL (hybrid / remote) location.

PeopleTec is seeking a Junior.NET Developer to support development and sustainment of Rubix and other application software capabilities. The candidate will work within a collaborative software-development team to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, document, and maintain application functionality using Microsoft.NET technologies, relational databases, and web-development technologies.

Duties:

  • Develop and maintain software functionality using C#,.NET, and related technologies.
  • Assist with development and sustainment of Rubix application capabilities.
  • Develop and modify SQL queries and data-access functionality.
  • Support web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Translate defined business and technical requirements into application functionality.
  • Debug software and resolve application defects.
  • Develop and execute software tests to validate functionality.
  • Use Git-based source control and participate in peer reviews.
  • Document software changes, technical issues, and test results.
  • Support integration, deployment, sustainment, and Agile development activities.
Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years of experience
  • Education, project experience, or professional experience in software/application development.
  • Working knowledge of C#,.NET, Visual Basic.NET, Java, or comparable object-oriented languages.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, software debugging, and testing.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio or comparable IDE and Git/source control.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems and learn new technologies.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Travel: Less than 10%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire (or able to obtain), and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Information Systems, Computer Programming, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or related technical discipline. Relevant development education and demonstrated software-development projects may be considered for junior-level experience. Bachelor degree desired but not required.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • None beyond normal requirements associated with office, remote, and occasional customer-site work.

  • ASP .NET and Microsoft SQL Server experience.
