Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and articulate Data Product Management Intern to join the Data Product Team for our Summer 2026 cohort.
This unique role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and product management. You won't be expected to write production code or have a background in finance. Instead, you will work closely with our experienced team to learn how to translate real-world business needs into technical data requirements, helping us build AI-ready data infrastructure.
What You Will Learn & Do:
  • Learn to Bridge the Gap: Partner with the Data Product team to support communication between business stakeholders and data engineers, helping ensure everyone is aligned on project goals.
  • Master Requirement Gathering: Shadow and collaborate with business-facing Data Product Managers to learn how to gather business needs and organize them into clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
  • Explore AI Infrastructure: Gain hands-on exposure to how an enterprise semantic layer is built, learning how data models make complex information accessible for real-world AI applications.
  • Understand Data Governance: Assist the team in maintaining data quality, lineage, and compliance standards, learning why strong governance is essential for trustworthy AI.
  • Support the Product Lifecycle: Help organize and prioritize backlogs based on business value, practicing how to explain technical concepts in plain language.

What We Are Looking For:
Core Skills & Mindset:
  • Strong Communication & Collaboration: You enjoy working with people just as much as working with data. You are a great listener who loves helping different teams find common ground.
  • Curiosity & Problem Solving:** You have a passion for understanding the "why" behind data and a desire to see how data solves real-world organizational problems.

Education & Foundation:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Management, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • A foundational classroom understanding of data structures, database concepts, or how data feeds into analytical models.

What is NOT Required:
  • Prior Banking Experience
  • Advanced Software Engineering:** You don't need to be a programmer; you just need to be comfortable learning about data workflows and architecture.

Why Intern with the Data Product Team?
  • Guided Growth: You will have a structured safety net. You'll work directly with senior data leaders who are genuinely invested in teaching and mentoring you.
  • Real-World Impact: You will contribute to projects that directly impact how a major financial institution prepares for the future of AI.
  • Product Management Launchpad: This role is the perfect way to explore a career in Data Product Management-one of the fastest-growing and most collaborative fields in the tech industry.
