Job description

3rd Shift, 10:55 PM-7:00 AM, Sunday-Thursday
Typical starting pay, $34.22, plus $2.00 shift differential

CNC Sheet Metal Fabricator at The Toro Company:
To adjust and operate computer numerically controlled machines relating to sheet metal fabrication which could include lasers and press brakes.
What Will You Do?
  • Program nest (using CAD or CAM software) and produce all sheet metal parts produced in laser cutting machines.
  • Set up and run CNC press brake.
  • Experience or demonstrated abilities in basic machining.
  • Monitor sheet metal cell workload and ensure that all prototype parts are produced on time according to the schedule.
  • Utilize and operate proper material handling equipment.
  • Ensure that all parts produced in sheet metal cell meet print and process specifications through in-process parts inspections.
  • Responsible for all training given within the sheet metal cell.

What Do You Need?
  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 or more years of proven sheet metal/press brake experience.
  • Experience or demonstrated abilities in basic machining.
  • Experience or applicable technical training in tool and die, or demonstrated abilities.

Work Environment:
  • Physical demands for this job can range from very light to very heavy. Lifts up to five pounds on a frequent basis in difficult work positions and up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis. Deals with heavy weights on a rare basis, normally during set-up.
  • Lasers present unique safety hazards which may or may not be visible. Safety rules must be understood and strictly adhered to.
  • Other work hazards associated with this position would be those normally found in a machine shop or factory setting. Should an injury occur, the most likely type of injuries would be cuts or pinched fingers, bruises or potential burns to eyes.
