Position Summary

CVS Health is looking for a Staff Software Engineer who isn't afraid to use all their knowledge and communication skills to tackle complex problems. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to collaborate on the improvement of our software and systems. You will be involved in the structural design process, estimating costs, and performing quality control throughout the stages of implementation. A first-class staff engineer will be someone whose engineering expertise translates into streamlined and cost-effective processes.

A Staff Engineer is a senior-level individual contributor who operates with a high degree of autonomy and is responsible for driving strategic direction, providing technical vision, and leading highly complex projects within their area. They are recognized as experts in their field and often lead by example, providing technical leadership across teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and driving strategic direction for their line of business

  • Instilling and authoring engineering best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ Years of IT Experience
  • 4+ Years of professional experience with hands-on Nest.JS/Rest API
  • 4+ Years of experience in working with Webservices.
  • 3+ years of Experience with various version control tools like GIT & SVN.
  • Excellent communications skills with ability to communicate effectively in visual, verbal, and written form to teams, clients and leadership.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GHA, Travis CI etc
  • 2+ Experience with AI technologies.
  • 2+ Experience in leading Engineers

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $260,590.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
