Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level 2 NICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring STABLE and NRP certifications.

Details
  • Level 2 NICU (Nursery) setting within a hospital
  • May float to Mother/Baby unit as needed
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment, full time
Requirements
  • Active RN license in Texas or Compact required
  • Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Current NRP certification required
  • Current STABLE certification required (Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor)
  • 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal setting experience preferred
Additional Information
  • Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
  • Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
  • Educates patients and families, addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
  • Completes New Nurse Orientation within first 30 days of hire
  • Precepted by a designated trained staff member with completion of entry and perinatal-specific competency validations
  • Must complete all annual competency verification requirements
  • Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before starting a travel assignment
