About the Role:

We are looking for a Performance Engineer to ensure our Digital One

Business apps are fast, reliable, and scalable under real-world conditions. In this role, you will design and execute performance tests, analyze system behavior, identify bottlenecks, and work closely with engineering teams to improve end-to-end performance across web, mobile, and backend systems.

You'll act as both a technical expert and a performance advocate, helping teams build products that meet strict performance, scalability, and reliability standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain performance, load, stress, and endurance tests
  • Define and validate performance requirements, SLAs, and SLOs
  • Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks across application, API, database, and infrastructure layers
  • Collaborate with developers, SREs, and architects to diagnose and remediate performance issues
  • Monitor application performance in production and support root-cause analysis of performance incidents
  • Build and maintain performance testing frameworks, tools, and dashboards
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Establish performance baselines and track regressions over time
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve scalability, throughput, latency, and resource utilization
  • Document findings and communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Solid performance testing fundamentals
  • Strong NeoLoad UI experience, including managing populations, scenarios and test data management
  • Solid understanding of web and distributed systems (HTTP, APIs, microservices, caching, queues)
  • Experience analyzing system metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network, latency, throughput) and troubleshooting issues
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (JavaScript preferred)
  • Understands CI/CD and modern architectures
  • Good understanding of APM tools (Dynatrace, DataDog)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confident with correlation & test data
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms
  • Experience building a new performance testing strategy from the ground up
  • Experience performance-testing large-scale consumer applications
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning (SQL and/or NoSQL)
  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments

  • Clear performance benchmarks and metrics guide engineering decisions
  • Applications scale predictably and meet user experience expectations under load
