Job description

The Hospitality Professional/Host at Neighborly delivers exceptional service, creating a welcoming and warm dining experience for every guest. This role includes assisting guests with kiosk orders, answering menu questions, supporting marketplace purchases, and ensuring the marketplace maintains Neighborly’s standards of cleanliness and hospitality.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet every guest with a warm smile and friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated from the moment they enter the restaurant.

  • Assists guests with menu/kiosk questions. Engage with guests to understand their preferences and needs, offering tailored recommendations and making every guest feel special.

  • Oversees the carry-out area of the restaurant by distributing out online orders, cleaning and organizing carry-out shelving, and assisting guests that require assistance with their carry-out order pick up

  • Assists with FOH tasks to include assisting guests with marketplace orders, taking orders at the POS, running food, and helping maintain cleanliness of the restaurant.

  • Maintains cleanliness and items stocked in the Marketplace

  • Upholds company safety and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and employees


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication and people skills with a friendly, guest-focused demeanor

  • Sense of urgency and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work as a team-player

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize

  • Able to work flexible hours as necessary

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High-volume restaurant experience preferred

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

  • Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 24 hours a week

  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs

  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens to include peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
