Brentwood, CA

Salary Range:$19 To $23.00/hour plus tips

The Line Cook at Neighborly is a key contributor to delivering chef driven food with consistency, speed, and care. Line Cooks are responsible for executing dishes to standard, maintaining their station, and supporting a smooth and efficient service. Working as part of a collaborative kitchen team, this role requires strong culinary fundamentals, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency. This position is ideal for a cook who takes pride in their craft, values structure and standards, and understands that every plate represents the Neighborly brand. All hourly team members earn tips.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prepare and execute a wide variety of dishes including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other menu items using Neighborly’s established recipes and standards.

  • Cook menu items using a range of equipment including ovens, grills, broilers, fryers, and sauté stations, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Take ownership of food quality, ensuring every plate meets Neighborly’s expectations for taste, presentation, and temperature.

  • Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen procedures to maintain consistency across shifts and locations.

  • Properly stock, maintain, and organize line stations to support efficient, uninterrupted service.

  • Portion food products accurately prior to cooking according to recipe specifications.

  • Prepare items for broiling, grilling, baking, frying, sautéing, or other cooking methods by seasoning, marinating, battering, or breading as required.

  • Handle, store, label, and rotate all food products according to food safety and freshness standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations at all times and participate in opening and closing procedures.

  • Uphold all company food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards to protect guests and team members.

  • Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and consistency

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

  • Team oriented mindset with clear communication

  • Strong organization and multitasking skills

  • Minimum of 2 years experience
