Overview
Vista Aircraft Maintenance is seeking to hire an AOG Technician to join our Mobile Repair Team (MRT) operating out of Teterboro, NJ. This role is built for technicians who perform well under pressure, adapt quickly in the field, and know how to keep aircraft moving safely and efficiently.
AOG Technicians work collaboratively to execute AOG and mission-driven maintenance assignments as directed by the MRT Manager or the Maintenance Control Team. This is a full-time position based on a 7-days-on / 7-days-off schedule and requires extensive worldwide travel to operational sites

AOG Technician Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures and Federal Aviation Administration regulations
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and evaluate aircraft mechanical and electrical systems in field environments with limited support
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Inspection, Materials, and Procurement to ensure parts, tooling, and resources are available to support maintenance activities
  • Perform MEL and NEF deferrals, engine ground runs, taxi operations, and return-to-service activities as authorized
  • Accurately complete work orders, logbook entries, corrective actions, and maintenance documentation within Corridor software
  • Provide regular status updates to Maintenance Control while ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and within operational timelines
  • Support worldwide travel requirements while maintaining company standards for safety, compliance, professionalism, and customer service

Required Experience, Qualifications, and Education
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License required
  • Minimum 6+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Strong background in business aviation and AOG maintenance operations preferred
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills on aircraft mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations, FAR Part 43 requirements, MEL/NEF procedures, and approved maintenance data
  • Experience using maintenance tracking systems such as Corridor, CMP, or CAMP preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage high-stress situations and rapidly changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
