Job Description

Title: BA/UAT

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 6+ months

Interview mode: Phone then F2F

Need GC and USC

Business Analyst III is responsible for leading the functional requirements gathering team. The candidate works directly with internal customers to understand the business environment and needs. Identifies relevant design, process and specification issue.

Must have prior experience leading analysis/requirements phase of a project and ability to work closely with end-users to document requirements

Must have experience leading UAT test phase including test strategy development, test case creation, test script development, test execution, defect tracking and reporting. The candidate may also be required to train end users.

As a part of the Strategic Initiatives key projects such as SLIM and Compass Upgrade projects are underway. At present, there is a need for Analysis and UAT testing resources to assist with these projects.

Day to day Activities

  • Lead analysis/requirements writing phase. Assist is determining test strategy and defining the test plan. Test case and test data creation for functional testing. Test execution for Functional, Regression and Integration Testing. Documentation of test results. Coordination with QA and Development Teams for defect resolution

Must Have's

  • Strong analysis skills (including data analysis skills)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with end-users to understand business needs, lead analysis and requirements gathering phases and meetings.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • UAT Testing/ QA testing -Test cases/Test data creation and execution
  • Defect tracking
  • SQL skills, Excel skills (functions such a V-lookup, sorting/filtering data, using formulae is spreadsheets), Familiarity with HP Quality Center
  • Knowledge of SDLC
