If so, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) wants you to join our team as an Office Specialist in the Access Nebraska Document Imaging (ANDI) Center. As an Office Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting programs that help Nebraskans access Economic Assistance, Medicaid, and Long-Term Care services. Your work behind the scenes helps ensure that important documents and applications are processed accurately and efficiently so individuals and families can receive the support they need. Scheduling: The ANDI Center offers a variety of work shifts between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Current opening: Mondayโ€“Friday, 8:00a.m.โ€“ 5:00p.m.

What You'll Do As an Office Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, sorting, scanning, and indexing documents with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Processing Economic Assistance and Medicaid applications in a timely manner
  • Updating and maintaining information in state computer systems
  • Preparing and sending correspondence to applicants
  • Contacting clients to obtain information needed to process applications
  • Assisting with document storage and records destruction
  • Reviewing records, reports, and documents to verify completeness and accuracy
  • Supporting staff and supervisors by providing information needed for program decisions

Requirements/Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; research; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Proofread and identify errors in documents and information
