Neapco is seeking a results-driven individual to join our team as a Material Handler. This position will report to the Materials Supervisor and is based at our facility in Belleville, Michigan. It is extremely important this team member be aligned with Neapco's Core Values of Partnership, Passion, Agility, Teamwork, Integrity, and Diversity, along with Neapco's Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility goals and objectives.

Job Description: Material Handler

Including but not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on customer orders and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the process of moving and distributing materials
  • Operate Hilo/Forklift
  • Stage products and parts for production lines
  • Loading and unloading products, crates, pallets, and cages
  • Stocking and inventorying
  • Perform production tasks
  • Complete tasks safely and efficiently
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Follow all company rules and policies
  • Report safety hazard and incidents immediately
  • Assist or train other associates in their assigned duties when needed
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
  • 2 years of Hilo Experience
  • Pallet Jack experience
  • Ability to communicate in English to follow instructions regarding daily job assignments
  • Contribute to on-going 5-S efficiencies, and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers on work assignments and products
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision after training is complete
  • Attention to quality and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to do basic calculations and measurements
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions and safety rules
  • Good attendance
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
