Location:
Columbus Air Force Base, near Columbus, Mississippi
Working Hours:
Normal Work Hours - Monday - Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
Required Qualifications:
• Candidates must be US Citizens with the ability to obtain a clearance.
• 10+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer on complex multimillion dollar construction projects.
• Hold a current Professional Engineering license.
• Experience with USACE's 3-Phase QC/Inspection process, EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual, and the Resident Management System (RMS) is preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel;
• Position requires frequent and recurring construction inspections, which include walking, climbing, stooping, and bending at various elevations and uneven terrain
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for complex, multimillion dollar construction projects. Work will be at Columbus Air Force Base, near Columbus, Mississippi.
Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Review and comment on Contractor submittals;
• Review and comment on Contractor questions;
• Review and comment on Contractor RFIs/RFCs;
• Make written recommendations to the COR;
• Compute time extensions;
• Assist in preparing change order documents;
• Make construction-minded determinations of practicability and meeting contract requirements;
• Request for equitable adjustment and claims;
• Make technical interpretations of drawings/specifications
• Review Contractor punch lists
