Job description

Job Title: Quality Control - B1 & B2

Reports To: Nathan Foster

Job Description: Quality Control - B1 & B2



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct in-process inspections of armored vehicles, including verifying sub-assembly installation and final welding to ensure they meet required customer requirements and internal standards.

  • Document armored vehicles with photographs and video for internal records and media based remote inspections.

  • Conduct in-process checks of parts, including verifying bends, welding, assemblies, and final products to ensure they meet required specifications and assembly drawings.

  • Maintain accurate records of part assemblies, quality checks, and fabrication progress.

  • Maintain traceability records for armor plate heat lots and ballistic test plates.

  • Provide visual aids and/or instructions to support subassembly installation and content integration.

  • Actively participate in identifying and implementing strategies for reducing errors, improving workflow efficiency, and expediting the movement of parts through fabrication.

  • Work closely with other team members and departments to communicate production needs, resolve issues, and ensure a streamlined manufacturing process.

  • Report on production metrics and quality assurance results to management.

  • Comply with the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard, the quality policy and related procedures.

  • Identifying and reporting any nonconformance.



Skills and Specifications:


  • Follow verbal and written instructions

  • Read blueprints and drawings

  • Proficient in using measurement tools and equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, gauges and protractors.

  • Prior experience in quality inspection or a related field.

  • Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, ISO is a plus.

  • Prior experience with first piece and in process inspections of assemblies.

  • Ability to obtain security clearance

  • Ability to communicate within many departments to resolve non conformances
