Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspects incoming materials by confirming product meets specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; documenting and communicating rejections of unacceptable items
  • Works closely with supervisor and associates to provide guidance as needed
  • Communicates with Production and QC Managers of any violations of the quality process
  • Inspects in-process production by confirming product meets applicable drawings and specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; documenting and communicating required corrections
  • Inspects finished products by confirming all houses meet the required quality standards
  • Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports and checklists
  • Work closely and efficiently with Management and all other associates
  • Adhere to all polices and protocols at all times
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by Management

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to read blueprints and communicate design requirements to Production, Preferred
  • Experience in Quality Control Inspection in a fabrication/manufacturing environment, Preferred
  • Ability to understand building code and gain an understanding of the construction manuals, standards and specifications regarding the products, Preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High School diploma, preferred
  • Ability to effectively use Excel, Word and Outlook, Preferred
  • Effective time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a climate-protected environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting (up to 20 pounds), pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
