Job description

Summary

The Nursing Professional Governance Facilitator advances Parkview’s mission by guiding professional governance development, mentoring unit-based Nursing Clinical Action Teams (NCATs), and supporting the system-wide governance structure. Strengthens nurse engagement, empowers shared decision-making, and drives improvements in practice, outcomes, and patient experience. Supports professional governance at the system, service line, and unit-based councils to ensure alignment with Parkview’s strategic priorities. Mentors clinical action team and coordinates council leaders in governance processes, accountability, and leadership skills; promotes nursing excellence and nurse led initiatives; and builds collaboration with nurses, leaders, and interprofessional teams to strengthen communication and outcomes. Shares updates, tracks progress, and demonstrates governance’s value across the organization.

Responsible for training and onboarding, facilitation of councils, mentorship of NCATs/ACATs, consultation for leaders, collaboration on Magnet® and organizational initiatives, and systematic reporting of governance outcomes.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master's degree in a healthcare related field preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required.

Experience

Must have 5+ years clinical nursing experience (Parkview preferred). Leadership experience in governance, shared decision-making, or nursing initiatives.

Other Qualifications

Strong facilitation, communication, and mentorship skills. Strong verbal/written communication and change management skills. Demonstrates skill and/or experience in following: team leadership, project management. Demonstrates ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
