Work Schedule: 4-7 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Compensation: Minimum starting wage $12/hr with opportunity for raises based on years of service within Campus Enterprises. In addition, Student Centers employees are eligible for an end-of-semester bonus up to $200.
Essential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Attend and actively participate in bi-weekly SCAC meetings
- Report project progress to SCAC Lead
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of SCAC members
- Gather feedback and insights from students about the NC State Student Centers
- Collect data on NC State Student Centers usage and student experiences
- Compose suggestions and recommendations to NC State's Student Centers based on the student feedback
- Serve as advocates for the overall student experience, voices, and opinions
- Help shape decision-making for NC State Student Centers
- Support the planning, creation, and promotion of content for the NC State Student Center's Instagram account
- Develop engaging social media content that highlights SCAC initiatives, student feedback, student employment, and the impact of committee projects
- Collaborate with the Campus Enterprises Marketing and Communication Team to maintain a consistent and professional social media presence that aligns with departmental branding and communication goals
- Assist with growing the committee's Instagram presence by creating engaging content, encouraging student interaction, and identifying opportunities to increase awareness and follower engagement
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
- Remain in compliance with NC State Student Centers student employee policies and expectations at all times
Campus Enterprises Employee Expectations
As student employees with Campus Enterprises, we expect you to be professional and be present for your shifts. This includes but is not limited to:
- Arriving early for shifts
- Having on a complete uniform
- Clocking in and clocking out in a timely fashion
- Cell phones are only used at appropriate times
- Prioritize the client
- Finish all duties before taking a break
Essential Qualifications
- Current NC State University student with a flexible schedule
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Ability to carry, push, pull, and roll up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work with and manage a team to serve a diverse population
- Elevated oral and written communication skills
- Willingness and ability to support other functions of NC State Student Centers
- Attend mandatory staff meetings, student employee orientation, and training sessions
