Department: Commercial Plumbing
Reports to: Commercial Plumbing Supervisor
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime and occasional weekends as required)
Pay Scale: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour (DOE) + Benefits
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dependable Commercial Plumber to join our team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial plumbing systems while ensuring work meets North Carolina plumbing codes and OSHA safety standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively on commercial job sites.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, assemble and repair pipes, fittings, fixtures, and plumbing equipment using threading, cutting, and soldering techniques.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine system layouts and installation requirements.
  • Test completed systems to ensure proper operation and identify leaks or deficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain compliance with all NC plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools; ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid-steers, and trenchers is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting plumbing blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong working knowledge of pipe installation methods, soldering, and professional plumbing tools.
  • Thorough understanding of NC plumbing codes and OSHA safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commercial plumbing experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (jackhammers, trenchers, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and kneel for extended periods.
