$18.00 per hour  |  Monday - Thursday 6:30 am - 5:00 pm  |  Full-time; Direct Hire

$250 Sign-on Bonus  |  Eligible Pay Increase up to $20.00 per hour at 90-Day Evaluation

JOB SUMMARY:

This job entails the manufacturing of portable court panels and subfloor systems.  This includes building subfloor panels, nailing panels, and cutting floor panels to size, among other responsibilities. This is a local position and the work is performed onsite at Praters, Inc., Rossville, GA location.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be able to work without constant or direct supervision.
  • Lifting, bending, and carrying equipment and materials such as bundles of wood and other heavy objects with weights sometimes exceeding 100 lbs.
  • Have the experience or the ability to learn to operate and perform minor job site maintenance on construction equipment or tools such as saws, drills, nail guns, etc.
  • Follow the correct procedures for a quality job, perform it safely, and maintain job site cleanliness as specified in the employee manual or by Management.
  • The ability to read a tape measure, make the proper calculations for woodcuts, etc.
  • Ability to deliver panels and manufactured portable courts between Praters, Inc. locations 
  • Willing to work overtime and some weekends.
  • Will at all times conduct themselves as a representative of Praters, Inc. and support Praters, Inc.'s missions and goals.
  • Follows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Ability to read a tape measure/ruler competently
  • Prior Manufacturing/production experience
  • Basic carpentry or construction experience
  • Ability to stand and bend for long periods and the ability to lift 100+ pounds periodically (team lifting)
  • Able to effectively and efficiently organize, and work well on a team but also have the independence to work individually
  • Have a good work ethic and be able to produce high-quality work
  • Valid driver's license - Required (to operate company vehicles)
  • Must be 21 years old or older (age requirement to operate company vehicles)
  • Must be able to pass a 7-panel drug screen
  • A 7-year background check performed
