If you're a technically driven senior, recent graduate, or alum with experience in engineering, research, or systems development, here’s your chance to make a real impact. As an EDO, you’ll design, build, and support the Navy’s most advanced ships, submarines, and integrated systems, while traveling the world and launching a meaningful leadership career. Navy1

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Researching urgent operational challenges

  • Leading the design, construction, maintenance, and modernization of naval vessels and systems

  • Overseeing complex missions like salvage operations, deep-sea repair, or underwater rescue

  • Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and technology teams to deliver mission-critical outcomes

Where You’ll Be

Expect to be stationed at shore commands in U.S. hubs like Washington, D.C., Norfolk (VA), Pearl Harbor (HI), Bremerton (WA), or San Diego (CA). But your opportunity isn’t limited — global assignments in places like Australia, Japan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and others are all within reach.

  • Master’s degree preferred — though may be funded during training
