Senior Software Engineer

Sensorum Health

New York, NY • Remote

$160K - $190K/yr

Full-time

Posted 13 days ago

Job description

Mission

We built Sensorum with the goal of proactively identifying and de-escalating chronic disease exacerbations in the home days before a visit to the ER. These avoidable hospitalizations are a $60B+/yr problem in the US alone!

Sensorum Description

Sensorum Health is a seed-stage, NYC-based healthtech company backed by GV (fmly. Google Ventures) and Operator Partners. We are building an AI-powered sensor network to help seniors affected by chronic disease live healthy lives at home. We deploy fully-passive sensor technology, state-of-the-art AI, and healthcare services in the home to keep our patients out of the hospital.

Our core team brings expertise from Facebook AI Research (FAIR), the U.S. Navy SEALs, Imagen Technologies, and Clover Health.

Role

Sensorum is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can accelerate the development of our software through individual contribution and team development. You will be directly responsible for the creation of new services, data pipelines, and end-user applications from technical design, through implementation and maintenance.

Core Responsibilities

In the near-term, this person will spend the majority of their time hands-on-keys working through development with the Sensorum Engineering team. The best candidates will have the potential to assume more responsibility leading the technical team in the design and actualization of large and complex initiatives as we scale.

Because of the wide range of technologies we currently leverage at Sensorum, we do NOT expect you to have experience with all domains we operate within. We do expect you to be excited about learning about and contributing to these different technical areas.

Our sensor network leverages real-time OSs running on our sensor hardware, IoT applications, message queue processing, mobile apps, web apps, AI training and inference pipelines.

Operating Philosophy

Sensorum’s vision is to improve the lives of our patients and reduce the cost of care - in that order. We are stubborn in our vision, but flexible on how we achieve it.

We are building a company that values mastery, autonomy, and purpose. We stress providing context and direct ownership to our team members while allowing them the freedom to execute as they see necessary.

Compensation

Top candidates will be offered a competitive compensation package comprising a mixture of cash and equity.

Base salary range: $160K-$190K
