Job Description:
Cydecor is looking for a Senior Navy Mechanical Engineer to analyze UxV designs and tackle technical challenges in a dynamic environment and be part of a mission-driven team that shapes the future of naval engineering and technology.
Responsibilities include:
  • Work will involve conducting review and analysis of UxV designs, addressing technical issues that arise during design and construction, and development of the future UxV requirements and acquisition documents.
  • Perform engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms.
  • Perform ship design and construction Contractor and Subcontractor engineering and production analyses to include but not limited to physical progress, design progress and material procurement.
  • Review of engineering systems' technical data, engineering drawings, technical manuals, ILS data, ILS Checklists, and configuration baseline documentation to determine the changes required to update requirements and assist in establishing the new baseline specified by contract, contract specifications, engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.

Here's what you need:
  • Bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in mechanical engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs.
  • Ability to analyze designs through review of design artifacts
  • Ability to perform quantitative analyses
  • Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team consisting of systems engineers, electrical and electronics engineers, acquisition professionals, and logistics and sustainment professionals to achieve program outcomes
  • Interim or Active Secret clearance

Bonus points if you have:
  • 15 or more years of professional experience
  • Experience in mechanical engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs for Navy shipbuilding and defense systems.
  • Knowledge of Navy acquisition processes
  • Knowledge of mechanical design standards and practices for Naval ships and systems
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Master's degree in an Engineering field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Certification

Security Clearance:
Minimum: Interim or Active Secret security clearance; Preferred: Interim or Active Top Secret security clearance.
Education:
Bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering
Work Schedule:
M-F, Onsite
Compensation and Benefits:
The projected compensation range for this position is $166,100.00-$185,200.00. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
