Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking Navy IFF/Radar Technicians with experience in performing comprehensive component and system level maintenance for shipboard Systems. The work is performed at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA. The SCSC is located on a barrier island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is a tenant of the NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. SCSC provides live combat systems suites with platform specific radars and sensors and supports the following functions: combat system lifetime support engineering, platform certification, operational and technical evaluation, combat system training, interoperability testing and participates in at-sea exercises. SCSC provides a high-fidelity representative combat system of every ship in the AEGIS, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) fleet today and those planned in the future.
The selected candidate will perform comprehensive equipment and system level maintenance on all IFF and Sensors systems at the AEGIS and SSDS facilities in SCSC Wallops Island VA
Provide system/equipment configuration and operational support for all deployed baseline AEGIS and SSDS variants
Schedule planned maintenance actions utilizing the SKED program in accordance with the Navy's Maintenance Material Management (3M) system and also be responsible for documenting all maintenance actions, including repair part requisitions, using the OMNS-NG program.
