TRAINING SPECIALIST SENIOR - CTT/Electronic Warfare Supervisor (EWS) Tactical Trainer

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Training Specialist Senior, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Surface Combat Systems Training Command Detachment San Diego (SCSTC Det SW) / Reconfigurable Trainer (RCT4). You will play a crucial role in training division officers and department heads and in the operation and tactical employment of the SLQ-32(V)6 Electronic Warfare System, its interfaces, and associated equipment.
Lead/Manage/Support - Must have the ability to train others in the technical description, operation, and tactical employment of Electronic Warfare Systems on Aegis BL9. The candidate must be familiar with EW-related training systems such as BEWT and/or SEWTT, their integration into relevant host combat systems as well as adjacent EW systems such as GALE, JTT-M, SLA-10, SSX-1 and DLS. Responsibilities would include training and evaluating watchstander performance in hardkill/softkill integration, sensor and weapons tactical employment techniques and effective internal and external communications the EW-Supervisor Watch Station is responsible for. The candidate would accomplish this through classroom and practical scenarios based on current Navy-wide operational tasking, Fleet best practices, doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures. When required, the candidate would provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development for SCSTC courses supporting present and future course development.


WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Training Specialist Senior must have:
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
Experience: Seven (7) years of experience as a CTT qualified as a SLQ-32(V)6 Electronic Warfare Operator and Supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a journeyman level training environment. Experience in writing engagement doctrine and mission planning with Soft-Kill Weapons System (SKCS) is a definite plus. Of the seven years, one (1) year of experience as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment, to include presentation skills, public speaking, curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction and counseling students on academic learning problems.

Prior SCSTC, ATRC, TACTRAGRU (PAC/LANT) or SMWDC Instructor experience is a significant plus. Master/Afloat Training Specialist (MTS/ATS) Qualification preferred.

Travel may be required up to 10 % of time. Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $72,250 - $97,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
