How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:


Join the MMSI team as a Coxswain, responsible for the safe operation, navigation, and maintenance of small craft in support of contract operations. This role ensures the vessel is operated safely and efficiently while performing deck operations, vessel preservation, equipment maintenance, and other duties necessary to support mission requirements and maintain compliance with Company policies and applicable maritime regulations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operation and maintenance of small craft,

• Responsible for the safe operation, navigation and station keeping of the craft,

• Performs a variety of tasks related to the operation reporting and upkeep of the vessel.

• Performs hull, deck and superstructure preservation, general cleaning, operation of deck equipment, securing deck and project equipment.

• Other related duties as assigned and recordable

  • Ensure compliance to all Company Policies and Procedures, USCG, Federal, State and Local Government Agencies regulations.
  • Any other duties as required for the Contract performance


Qualifications:

The Coxswain must possess at a minimum a USCG endorsement as AB (limited), with three (3) years’ experience at the level of an AB Seaman or recent experience in a Navy deck rating with small boat qualifications, or a minimum of five (5)years of equivalent maritime experience and Basic Fire Fighting.


Physical Demands:

  • Moderate. Please refer to the USCG Merchant Mariner Medical and Physical Examination Requirements for Merchant Mariner Credentials ( Form CG-719 K)
