Job description

COLSA is seeking a highly skilled Cyber AI Specialist with deep expertise in artificial intelligence and hands‑on experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The ideal candidate will support advanced technology development, ensure cybersecurity compliance, and help integrate AI capabilities into mission‑aligned systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
  • Design, develop, and evaluate AI/ML models for defense‑related applications.
  • Support RMF activities across all phases, including documentation, control implementation, security assessments, and continuous monitoring.
  • Provide technical guidance on AI model lifecycle management, model evaluation, data governance, and ethical AI considerations.
  • Support system integration, testing, and accreditation efforts.
  • Prepare clear, concise engineering documentation and briefings for technical and leadership audiences.

Required Experience Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology, information security, cyber security, or a related field.
  • In‑depth knowledge of AI, machine learning, and data‑driven system design.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and evaluating agentic AI
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 security controls and DoW cybersecurity policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance prior to start
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security, engineering, or related field
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Experience deploying AI/ML models within secure environments.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices, model explainability techniques, or high‑assurance system design.
  • Prior experience supporting Navy programs, laboratories, or warfare centers.
