## Supplier Risk Management and Compliance LeadApplylocations: Detroit, MItime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JREQ-221770**Job Posting Title**Supplier Risk Management and Compliance Lead**Job Description Summary**Dauch is searching for a Supplier Risk Management and Compliance Lead to join our team. This position will be based out of our World Headquarters, based in Detroit, MI. The Supplier Risk Management and Compliance Lead is responsible for proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating supplier-related risks that could impact production and customer delivery. This role serves as a central coordination point between Procurement, Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Supply Chain Management (SCM), Finance and Operations, ensuring continuity of supply across all customer programs. The position leads risk governance processes, supplier risk monitoring, and escalation management, while providing executive-level visibility through weekly risk summaries and reporting. The lead also ensures compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and regulatory frameworks, including monitoring supplier financial, operational, geopolitical, and capacity risks. This role is critical to maintaining production stability, customer performance, and risk transparency across the Tier 1 supply base.**Job Description:*** Lead the end-to-end risk identification and mitigation process for direct material suppliers across all programs.* Partner with Procurement, SQE, and SCM to proactively monitor: supplier capacity constraints, logistics disruptions, single-source dependencies, Tier‐2/Tier‐N exposure risks.* Act as the primary interface between Procurement, SQE, SCM, and Finance.* Facilitate daily/weekly risk review meetings with Procurement, SQE, SCM and Finance teams.* Track supply continuity action plans and ensure alignment on: root cause identification, recovery timelines, next steps.* Escalate critical issues to leadership with clear impact and mitigation plans.* Develop and distribute weekly “Significant Events” and Supply Risk Reports including: high-risk suppliers, program impacts, production exposure, recovery status and timelines* Provide concise executive summaries highlighting: key changes in risk level, new disruptions, mitigation progress.* Maintain consistent formatting for leadership visibility and decision-making.* Maintain and continuously update supplier risk profiles, including: Financial health indicators (work closely with Procurement Finance Team), Operational performance (Supplier Scorecard and Risk Dashboards), Capacity and dependency risks, Geographic / geopolitical exposure.* Monitor external data sources and internal metrics to identify early warning signals.* Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and risk governance frameworks.* Maintain compliance with: Customer requirements (OEM risk reporting), Regulatory requirements (as applicable), Internal audit standards.* Perform risk due diligence process during the on-boarding of new suppliers.* Support supplier risk audits and assessments.* Track and report on risk mitigation compliance and closure status.* Maintain and improve risk dashboards (Power BI or similar tools).* Analyze trends across: Supplier disruptions, Recurring risk patterns, Category-level risk exposure.* Drive improvements in: Risk visibility, Data accuracy, Process efficiency.* Support development of digital tools and platforms for supplier risk management (e.g., onboarding systems, Tier‐N mapping solutions).* Support initiatives to improve multi-tier supply chain transparency.* Identify critical Tier‐2 / Tier‐N dependencies and risks.* Collaborate with external platforms and internal teams to map supply networks and risk propagation.* All other duties as assigned.**Required Skills and Education*** Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance or related field* 5+ years experience in Direct procurement, Supply chain management, Supplier risk management.* 5+ years Experience in Tier 1 automotive, OEM, or manufacturing environment strongly preferred* Proven experience working with Buyers and SCM teams, Production-critical supply environments* Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced), Power BI or similar analytics tools* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Plex, SAP)* Familiarity with Supplier risk tools/platforms (e.g., Ivalua, Altana, NAVEX, etc.), Data modeling and dashboard development (preferred). **About Dauch:**Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
