Role Summary
GlobalFoundries' IT organization is expanding our Cloud Solutions Delivery capabilities to accelerate business outcomes across AWS and Azure. The Manager, Cloud Solutions Delivery leads the end-to-end delivery of cloud solutions-from intake and planning through execution, transition to operations, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role, that partners closely with application owners, Cloud Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, Security, and vendors to deliver secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud services while driving predictable delivery, transparent communication, and strong governance.
What You Will Do
  • Own delivery execution for cloud initiatives (projects and run-the-business enhancements), including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies.

  • Lead intake and prioritization with stakeholders; translate business needs into delivery plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Cloud Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, Security, Network, Application teams) to ensure aligned execution and clear handoffs.

  • Establish delivery governance (status reporting, RAID, change control) and provide concise, proactive communication to leadership and business partners.

  • Drive standardized delivery processes, templates, and playbooks; continuously improve delivery predictability, quality, and customer experience.

  • Manage delivery resources (internal and vendor), including capacity planning, onboarding, performance expectations, and escalation paths.

  • Partner with FinOps and engineering teams to track cloud spend impacts, optimize cost, and align solution designs to operational and compliance requirements.

What You Will Bring
  • 8+ years of experience delivering IT/cloud infrastructure and application solutions, including leading cross-functional project teams.

  • 3+ years of people leadership experience (or demonstrated team lead capability) with a focus on coaching, accountability, and results.

  • Working knowledge of AWS and Azure services, cloud networking, identity, and security concepts sufficient to lead delivery conversations and decisions.

  • Strong project/program management discipline (planning, estimation, RAID management, stakeholder communications) and comfort operating in matrixed organizations.

  • Experience with Agile and/or DevOps delivery methods; ability to partner effectively with engineering teams using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.

  • Familiarity with IT service management and operational transition (incident/change/problem), compliance controls, and vendor management.

Skills:
Delivery & Program Management
  • Expertise in project/program management fundamentals (scope, schedule, budget, RAID), including executive-ready status reporting.

  • Experience with Agile delivery practices, sprint planning, and dependency management across multiple teams.

  • Skilled in stakeholder management, facilitation, and negotiation to drive decisions and remove blockers.

SRE Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of SRE principles, including SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets

  • Proficiency in observability tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager

  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby)

Automation & DevOps:
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

  • Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Scripting in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling

Software Engineering:
  • Proficiency in one or multiple object-oriented programming languages

  • Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps)

  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)

Security & Compliance
  • Applying platform security best practices (e.g., secrets management, IAM)

  • Ensuring compliance with frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001

  • Integrating security into CI/CD and infrastructure workflows

Expected Salary Range
$124,000.00 - $208,000.00
