Job description

Overview
BlueWater Federal is looking for a GCCS Engineer to support the configuration and implementation of the SEWS GCCS-J software and systems, GCCS-J courseware development, providing SEWS specific GCCS-J Operator training to US and FMS personnel, as well as system support to the local Colorado Springs, NATO, and various supported FMS locations.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with SEWS contractor and government personnel to plan OM&S trips and stay apprised of Theater issues
  • Assist with the design and analysis of user needs and associated hardware and software recommendations
  • Perform system support for remote users to identify and resolve hardware, software, and communication issues, document solutions, and develop recommendations to reduce the frequency of repairs
  • Respond to system outages to ensure issues are resolved per contract requirements
  • Provide maintenance support for system / equipment issues
  • Support Emergency On-Site Sustainment (EOSS) travel to customer locations as required

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration, Tactical Combat Operations, and GCCS
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
  • Knowledge of virtualization concepts and products (VMware); Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for user and groups
  • Familiarity with Oracle/Sybase/Postgres database maintenance; Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)
  • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX applications and services (NFS, SSH, NTP, LDAP, HTTP, Ansible)
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
  • Partner and Allied nation exercise experience
  • Local and foreign travel, four or more trips per year (50% travel) is required.
