About the role:
The Senior Development Engineer will design, build, and optimize cloudnative data and application solutions using Azure and Snowflake. This role requires strong engineering fundamentals, secure development practices, and the ability to independently deliver complex features in a fastmoving environment.
What you will be doing:

  • Develop solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Key Vault, and other native cloud services.
  • Build and optimize Snowflake SQL pipelines, data models, ingestion processes, and performance tuning.
  • Use Terraform Enterprise for cloud provisioning and follow FIS Public Cloud governance standards.
  • Contribute to CI/CD using Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Azure tooling.
  • Write clean, testable code and perform code reviews; recommend technical improvements.
  • Troubleshoot cloud, data, and integration issues; support production monitoring and resiliency.
  • Ensure adherence to secure development and compliance requirements.
  • Designing, programming, debugging and modifying software enhancements.
  • Interacting with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications.
  • Participating in software design meetings to determine technical requirements.
  • Working with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Handson Azure experience (ADF, Functions, App Services, security integrations).
  • Strong Snowflake development skills (SQL, data modeling, streams/tasks, performance tuning).
  • CI/CD experience and familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tooling.
  • Proficiency in C#, SQLbased development.
  • Expert knowledge of Object Orient Patterns and Design, Domain Driven Design, data structures and algorithms, parallel and distributed computing, SoA and multi-tier architectures.
  • Understands testing at every stage of development.
  • Experience with modern application architecture and development (REST, microservices).
  • Expert development experience throughout the SDLC using Microsoft .Net/C#. WebAPI, ADO.NET knowledge is a must.
  • Experience with development on Public Cloud - Azure / AWS.
  • Knowledge of IaaC, DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines (Containerization, Terraform, Ansible, BitBucket, GitHub, Harness, Jenkins).
  • Solid experience with relational and NoSQL database development, including logical design, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and performance tuning.
  • Demonstrated expertise performance tuning applications from top to bottom, including profiling of applications. Experience with Open Telemetry.
  • Strong logical and analytical skills, with the ability to creatively troubleshoot and resolve challenging problems
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to effectively express ideas, engage in complex discussions and collaborate with a wide range of colleagues. Ability to communicate with precision while being concise.
  • Proactive, delivery-oriented team player who takes responsibility for the team's success
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industries with knowledge of financial instruments in the credit space. Candidate must demonstrate interest in learning and applying financial concepts.
