These positions are located in Yosemite National Park, in the Resources Division.
The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is May, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. The ability to do the work of and Restoration Worker, WG-5001-5 without more than normal supervision (Screen out) includes work such as assisting others in performing ecological restoration and vegetation management projects involving: building and repairing various types of fences; salvaging, transplanting and planting native plants using standard horticultural techniques; assisting with implementation of non-native plant control programs; using and maintaining a wide variety of power and hand tools; keeping records on restoration techniques, daily project accomplishments and preparing weekly reports; familiar with photo documentation methods; have ability to navigate with GPS, map, and compass.
