The National Warehouse Manager performs a variety of duties in support of warehouse network expansion, including, process design, warehouse management system configurations, safety programs (building, managing OSHA standards across all of our facilities nationwide, warehouse customer transition oversight, equipment and facility need negotiations, and pricing and contract facilitation. This position focuses on internal warehouse operations and processes that assist branches in expanding our footprint, solidifying customer relationships, and establishing and enforcing warehouse metrics. This role works directly with our executives, branch managers, sales, warehouse managers, internal and external process teams, and potential/existing customers to build and maintain relationships with all parties The Green Way.
How you will be successful...
  • Develop and manage a team of warehouse support positions that focus on system and
    business development processes and/or tools.
  • Develop and deploy warehouses throughout the network by coordinating and establishing
    resources needed to support new warehouse operations.
  • Develop and refine processes, procedures and KPI's to increase efficiencies, reduce processing
    cost, and increase margins throughout the network. This includes processes focused on, but
    not limited to:
    o Receiving/Picking
    o Labor structure
    o Shipping
    o Quality Control
    o Safety
    o Facility Maintenance
    o Customer SOPs, when necessary
    o Internal compliance
    • Be responsible for growing revenue by further developing Green's warehouse infrastructure
    and negotiating pricing relevant to warehousing and facilities.
    • Bill, maintain, and manage OSHA standards and compliance program for all existing and
    new facilities nationwide.
    • Create a safety and security program in collaboration with our branches, HR, and training
    departments.
    • Plan, direct, and execute warehouse activities in conjunction with our branch warehouse
    operations throughout the Green network.
    • Implement new warehouse processes and procedures, including rollout of any new system
    technologies.
    • Establish and solidify close business relationships with customer key contacts in conjunction
    with business development managers/branch managers/executives.
    • Review and drive warehouse P&L standardization, while providing financial advice based on
    current business trends.
    • Standardize and implement warehouse management system integrations, billing processes,
    and documentation/label structure.
    • Oversee implementation of warehouse customer transitions in conjunction with all necessary
    parties, including the customer.
    • Periodically visit warehouses for further business and market development, continued ongoing
    operations support, and to ensure corporate policy and procedure compliance.
    • Communicate and update executive board on all warehouse projects and opportunities.
    • Other duties, as required

What you will bring....
  • 5- 10 years of experience in warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of bonded warehouse procedures
  • Well experienced with Container Freight Station
  • Across the board understanding of the Shipping Industry
  • Understanding of financial and accounting principles
  • Experience fostering a safety first culture
  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Inventory knowledge
  • Aptitude, creativity, and a preference for working in small, collaborative teams
  • Passion for problem solving and providing excellent customer service
